Since 1996, Engineering Aid Australia (EAA) has been inspiring and empowering Indigenous students to pursue careers in engineering, shaping futures and creating opportunities. NDY is proud to continue our partnership with EAA, supporting their mission to increase First Nations representation in engineering and technology.
This year’s Indigenous Australian Engineering School (IAES) week program, hosted by UNSW Sydney, welcomed over 20 Indigenous high school students from across the country. Through a week of hands-on activities, networking with university academics and professional engineers and introductions to university life, these students experienced the possibilities engineering offers—not just as a career, but as a way to make a difference to communities.
It was inspiring for our Sydney engineers to engage with the students during special IAES networking and graduation dinner events. A special thanks to Justin McKee, Jarrad Underwood, David Michell and Nicola Ring, who experienced firsthand how these moments reinforce the impact of the program—not only for the students but for the future of engineering in Australia.
We’re honoured to sponsor EAA and support their incredible work and dedication to nurturing the next generation of engineers.
